Sorry, but I don't find much content in that graph. What exactly did the Democratically controlled Congress do that drove the price up? What would a Republican Congress have done so drastically different to change today's prices?
I think the phrase is 'correlation is not causation.'
Re your last sentence: what's good for the goose is good for the gander! W's administation has been blamed for every ill on this earth since his inauguration and I am glad we can agree that "correlation is not
causation".
What the Democratic congress has not done is allow supply to increase - I assume you understand, with the name economuser, that prices drop with increased supply - and that is a great disservice to the people of the U.S. and the world!
Unfortunately I am not sure a Republican congress would have done much more. But that is another subject!
