Will a "moral vacuum" be our downfall?
An interesting article on a Church of England Bishop's analysis of British society today.
Could this happen to us?

The story states: 'He said that in its place, Britain had become gripped by the doctrine of "endless self-indulgence" which had led to the destruction of family life, rising levels of drug abuse and drunkenness and mindless violence on the streets.'
On this one I'd argue that a longer perspective is probably useful. Is it really true that there is more 'mindless violence' on the streets now than 50 years ago? I doubt it. More drunkenness now?
No doubt that family patterns have changed, in part for the worse, but how much family violence went unreported back in the days...?
