"Decisions, Decisions"

Read "Decisions, Decisions" by James Taranto in todays WSJ Best of the Web Today.

Good analysis of BHO's dithering and exposing his MSM supporters who are still lying about W's methodology.

His closing paragraph:

"Achenbach's [WaPo journalist] eagerness to portray Obama's vacillation in a positive light reinforces another stereotype: that of journalists as courtiers rather than critics of the "new" president. "

More Clarity from Krauthammer

Charles Krauthammer explains clearly why Obamacare should be set aside and more reasonable reform developed in today's column: "Kill the Bills. Do Health Reform Right".

First: drive tort reform nationwide.

Second: allow purchase of Insurance across state lines.

Third: tax employer paid insurance - a rational tax increase on "income" the insured receive.

This "better choice is targeted measures that attack the ineffiiencies of the current system one by one..." That is, if you truly want healthcare reform. Do you?

Global Warming Supporting Scientists and MSM: the same tactics!

James Taranto in WSJ's Best of the Web Today writes on "Settled Science?" and "Redefining 'Consensus'" in the two lead stories of his daily column.

If you can read these and still believe in global warming science or the independence of our MSM, you are letting ideology fog your reasoning.

KSM Trial: Unintended Consequences?

James Taranto in WSJ's Best of the Web Today writes the following regarding the silly statements of our President and his Attorney General:

"Further, Obama's and Holder's assurances that KSM will be convicted (and, according to the president, "put to death") make a mockery of due process. Nothing is more fundamental to America's criminal justice system than the presumption of innocence, and if terrorist detainees are to be treated as criminal defendants, they are entitled to that presumption.

For the sake of political expediency, Obama and Holder are refusing even to make a pretense of respect for due process. If KSM & Co. are convicted and put to death, America's critics and enemies will point to Obama and Holder's assurances in arguing that the defendants were subjected to sham justice. Nice work restoring America's moral standing, Mr. President."

You BHO supporters had better evaluate his actions carefully. They are NOT good!

Or would you like to justify?

"Future Prospects for Economic Liberty" by Walter Williams

Mr. Williams asks: "What is the legitimate role of government in our society?"

He clearly explains why we are on the "wrong track" - ALL OF US, not just the Dem's!

An interesting 5 minute read that may effect your thinking.

"FRATTO: The Unbearable Lightness of Being Obama"

Tony Fratto comments on Obama's asian trip. If you were a supporter of this vacuous man and his "unbearable lightness" I think you should set the ideology aside and re-evaluate your position!

Ignorance of history will only lead us to disaster!

Thanks for TRUTH from Stanford Alumni!

Michelle Malkin documents some alumni reaction to a Stanford Magazine "puff" piece on Valerie Jarrett, a graduate of my alma mater. Seems they, like the rest of the media/university complex are incapable of the TRUTH.

I was fortunate to have received at Stanford (Class of 1964) one of the best educations available before the leftist takeover of our college campuses. My support for Stanford stopped many years ago, and it will not begin again until they perform the functions of a university, and stop the promotion of leftist ideology.

By the way, do any of you support the activities of this woman?

Thomas Sowell: CLARITY

Mr. Sowell shares his economic insight in "The 'Costs' of Medical Care", trying to explain Obamacare - a "shell game" playing with costs to convince you to give them POWER!

An excerpt:

"Despite all the demonizing of insurance companies, pharmaceutical companies or doctors for what they charge, the fundamental costs of goods and services are the costs of producing them.

If highly paid chief executives of insurance companies or pharmaceutical companies agreed to work free of charge, it would make very little difference in the cost of insurance or medications. If doctors' incomes were cut in half, that would not lower the cost of producing doctors through years of expensive training in medical schools and hospitals, nor the overhead costs of running doctors' offices.

What it would do is reduce the number of very able people who are willing to take on the high costs of a medical education when the return on that investment is greatly reduced and the aggravations of dealing with government bureaucrats are added to the burdens of the work.

Britain has had a government-run medical system for more than half a century and it has to import doctors, including some from Third World countries where the medical training may not be the best. In short, reducing doctors' income is not reducing the cost of medical care, it is refusing to pay those costs. Like other ways of refusing to pay costs, it has consequences."

Careful, or you may get what you are wishing for!

Worth the read to understand the downside of Obamacare.
